Brief School History and Background

Yuhua Primary School (formerly known as Joo Hwa Public School) was started in the 1930s. In September 1983, the school moved to its present location at Jurong East Street 24 and assumed the name of Yuhua Primary School. In 1999, the school underwent PRIME.

In 2002, due to falling enrolment, the school merged with Yuqun Primary School (formerly known as Joo Koon Public School) but retained the name Yuhua Primary School.

Presently the school has a population of 1461 pupils and 118 staff (including Principal and Vice-Principal). The school functions in a 4:2 session with P3-P6 levels in the morning session while P1-P2 levels in the afternoon session.
